Sometimes waiting on the Lord can be scary. We can become so focused on our desires and circumstances that the very thought of waiting on the Lord sounds so menial and time consuming. 

But it’s when we patiently wait on the Lord and are faithful to follow His will that we see God move.

“A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said.

Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” Instantly the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed.” - Mark 1:40-42

This passage of scripture is so powerful because every single one of us need the healing touch of Jesus upon our lives.  Maybe you’re facing a seemingly impossible situation - an injury, a diagnosis and things seem bleak. 

In today's study of God's word, we're reminded to come to the Lord with all things, knowing that nothing is impossible for Him.

As Christians, we often have great desires to be used by God and live our lives for Him.  We come up with all sorts of ideas of what WE can do for the Lord, but sometimes in our excitement we lose sight of what God has done for us.

Isaiah 53:5 says

But he was pierced for our transgressions,
     he was crushed for our iniquities;
 the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
     and by his wounds we are healed.

In today’s episode, Pastor Gary joins us to share a devotional from Isaiah 53.  With this being Passion week, we’ll reflect on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus through the study of God’s word, and remind ourselves of the blessed hope we have in Jesus Christ.

Here at Anchored Relief, everything we do in missions, relief, and our feeding center is not just to be good humanitarians, but it is all done to share the love of Jesus Christ with the people we serve and minister to.
