Paul said, “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of His glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being.” Earthly fathers, help your children understand that God has provided our most fundamental need: Salvation through His Son, Jesus, The Christ. Additionally, help your children understand that just as you correct their poor behavior, God, our Heavenly Father, corrects His blood-bought children. Finally, remind your children that just like you could never stop loving them, our Heavenly Father will never stop loving us, and He will welcome us back when we fail if we ask for His forgiveness.
Key points
1. God provides all our needs: Show your kids how God provides for our needs.
2. God lovingly corrects His child: Help your kids recognize how God’s Spirit corrects us in everyday decisions and interactions.
3. God is The Father Who always welcomes us back: We forgive our children when they make mistakes and try to help them make better choices in the future. Help your kids recognize that this is just a glimpse of God’s role in our lives.
