Psalm 18 is a declaration David declares his love for God. David praises God for being his safety when overcome by his enemies. To help illuminate this understanding of stability and safety that only God can offer, David compares God to a rock. It is God who provides safety through the storms of life. It is God who saved David from his enemies. God, our rock, offers safety in this turbulent life. Ultimately, we can know salvation through Jesus, the living stone.
