God Wants To Make You Laugh
Today’s Scripture:
Psalm 126:1-2 KJV
When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, We were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing: Then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
After the promise is fulfilled, what follows is laughter and singing. In our previous episode, we talked about the test and the promise. And we said that there is no promise without a test, no crown without a cross, and no Promise Land without a wilderness. But after we've arrived at the promise it must be followed by laughter and singing!
God wants to make you laugh and he wants to make you sing. After the captivity, after the restoration, and after the suffering there must be laughter and singing. When was the last time you laughed, or sang before the Lord? You see, the enemy doesn't want us to laugh and sing because that's our joy and when we have joy we have strength. The bible says the joy of the Lord is my strength.
Family, God can turn your dreams into reality so that when it happens you believe it's a dream. He's able to change our circumstances and make wrong right, sickness healed, and lack he can make plenty. Just like he did in restoring the Israelites and placing laughter in their mouths and their tongue filled with singing, he can do the same for us.
The Bible says he turns our sorry into joy, and our mourning into dancing. Only God can do that.
The Israelites' joy was noticeable in other nations. When God restores you others will see it and they will be in awe. Family, we must allow our laughter to bring a blessing to others and bring glory and honor to God. Our singing must lift God higher and point others to Christ revealing that he's alive and active among us.
