While contacting classmates about our upcoming 60th High School Reunion, I received many different said, “Mark me down.” Others replied, “I wouldn’t miss it!” But one response, “I’ll be there — God willing!” lead me to
the Bible.
Jeremiah 29:11 states “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Both this passage and James 4:14-15 tell us that our future is in God’s hands. Whether my classmates and I attend our class reunion here on earth or will be attending a much greater reunion with believers in heaven, we know that our God is loving, compassionate, forgiving, and His will for us is good!
