I. A continuous struggle.

  • God & Man
    • God loves us and desires a relationship with us. (Gen. 3:15)
    • God & Satan (Gen. 3; Eph. 6:12)
      • Satan fought against God's promise.

        • II. A Glorious victory.

        • The devil failed to destroy the Christ child. (1-5)
          • The woman represents the people of God.
          • The devil lost the war with Michael. (7-9; Jude 9)
          • The devil fails to destroy God's faithful church. (10-17)
            • Satan's accusation can't stand up. (10, 11; Rom. 3:23; Rev. 1:5; 5:9; 7:14; Rom. 8:31-34)
            • God's church continues to spread. (13ff; Acts 8:1-4; Matt. 16:16)
            • Satan can kill the body but not the soul. (15-17; Rev. 2:10)

              • There will be no fear if we are covered by the blood of the Lamb.
