All kinds of experiences can occur at the mention of a name. Emotions ranging from feeling butterflies to dread. Seeing a name on a list can cause your heart to soar, or drop within you. At Christmas we stop to reflect a singular name found in the first Christmas story. “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). Matthew 1:23.

This Christmas isn’t like any other, this we know. Looking back we see the first Christmas season also wasn’t always what we make it to be. Yet, as they were then, to we are today - this one thing gift remains constant - God is with us. This December, invite someone to join you as we journey from promise to potential. After all, Christmas isn’t a story about just any name, it’s about one Name, still greater than all others.
