Shelley and I have a deep relationship with our faith and the church and we often have deep and long conversations about what it was like for us growing up in the church and loving the sense of community and connectedness we felt -- only to realize that we were attracted to the same sex AND now God HATED us for it! It's a complex relationship that the 'Black' Christian church has with LGBTQ+ community *aka* 'gay folk.
