Having to face God is generally avoided, but is unavoidable. God sees to that by continuing to relate to us. We can't get rid of the idea that we have to be 'good'. The only remedy for the uncertainty and fear that this creates is the coming of Jesus. When we confess that he is God's gift to us, we know the love of God-really. We're ready to meet God, and ready to live.
