#ShareTheMicNow is a current campaign bringing black and white women's voices together to catalyze change. The intention of this platform is to magnify, amplify and ultimately honor the voices of black women. It is my honor to #ShareTheMic with this goddess- Santara Martin. I had the honor and privilege to meet Santara almost a decade ago as a cheerleading coach at #WoodlawnHighSchool. I walked in as a cheerleading coach and it quickly became the most loving and transformative time of my life. The power of love is magical and real. You might recognize #Woodlawn from the movie debut in 2015. Following government-mandated desegregation in 1973, Tony Nathan joins fellow African-American students at Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, AL. A violence and anger erupt in the city, Woodlawn football coach Tandy Geralds allows an outsider to speak to his players. His message of hope and love leads to a spiritual awakening that inspires star athlete Nathan, his teammates and other members of the community to overcome the hate that surrounds them.  Thank you to Santara Martin for being the beautiful, amazing warrior of love and goddess in my life.
