Welcome to “Goddess Talk” Episode 2 with the inspiring Chianti Cleggett, founder of the Young Women’s Empowerment Conference and Journey of S.H.E! Her passion for helping students succeed became the catalyst for her creation of the Young Women’s Empowerment Conference (YWEC), a non-profit that hosts an annual career-focused event for teen girls in Birmingham and surrounding areas. Since its inception in 2008, the conference has welcomed teens from states around the Southeast, including Arkansas, Georgia and Texas. In 2010, Chianti added a nine-month mentoring component to the conference for selected teens of past conferences. In addition to receiving one-on-one career education, the teens also serve as Ambassadors to the conference and help to empower their peers. Through her work with YWEC, Chianti has garnered recognition from the Ford Foundation, the Best in Minority Business Awards, the Birmingham Urban League Young Professionals. In 2013, she was also given the NBC13 Making a Difference Award.
Thank you to this amazing Goddess for being part of this platform to inspire and empower women, particularly female entrepreneurs in women in business who are being greatly impacted at this time. You sharing your unique gifts, abilities and insights is an integral part to motivate others to be strong, stay positive and honor their own dreams at all times. My intention through this interview is to empower women to awaken their inner goddess!
