Welcome back to the Candlelit Tales Podcast.

This week, we are going to hear a story that is truly an out and out goddesses story. And like all Irish Goddess Stories, this one is shrouded in mystery as well.

This is the story of Tailtiu, the Goddess of the Tailtileann games near Tara. The Foster mother of Lugh, her games were brought together to celebrate Lughnasa (the Irish for August) and all things creative and competitive. She came to Ireland from afar, and created space wherever she went.
