You will wholeheartedly go after and desire the things you love and feel you need to be happy. But man can never be satisfied. The danger is that life can become about merely fulfilling pleasure instead of pursuing God. Don't be addicted to the things of this world. If you're going to create dependencies, be dependent on God.
