The church is God's household, a pillar and buttress of truth. Thankfully, God has not left the church without leadership and structure. Godly elders are men above reproach, who are called to teach and shepherd the flock. Deacons are godly men and women, who hold fast to the mystery of faith as they serve the church in a variety of ways. Both are given for the building up of the body of Christ.
