  • You Don't Have to Force Your Love Story

In Ruth 2, Ruth gets up, goes to work, and does what she can to provide for herself and Naomi. She doesn't know what's waiting for her in that field. She doesn't have the whole plan figured out. She simply takes the next step with what she has.

And that's where her story gets interesting.

In Episode 2 of our series through the book of Ruth, we're talking about God's timing, His plans, and the importance of being faithful right where you are—even when you don't know what comes next.

We'll unpack what it means to work hard in the season you're in, trust God with the things you can't control, and recognize that His work in our lives doesn't always come through a dramatic sign or a life-changing moment. Sometimes, it unfolds through ordinary decisions, everyday obedience, and opportunities we never could have planned ourselves.

Ruth wasn't sitting around waiting for her life to change. She was taking the next step, and God was working in the middle of it.

You don't have to know the whole plan to be faithful in the place God has you today.

  • When Pain Turns You Bitter

Before we get the redemption, the restoration, and the beautiful ending we know is coming, Ruth 1 gives us a story filled with loss, heartbreak, uncertainty, and a woman named Naomi who feels like God has dealt bitterly with her.

In Episode 1 of our new series through the book of Ruth, we’re talking about grief—and what it looks like to walk through grief ourselves and to walk alongside someone else who is hurting.

Sometimes we want God to explain the pain immediately. We want to know why it happened, what He is doing, and how He is going to make it better.

But Ruth 1 doesn't give us those answers yet.

And maybe that's part of the point.

God's purpose in our pain isn't always revealed in the chapter where the pain happens.

We'll talk about Naomi's grief, Ruth's decision to stay, what it means to love people through their hardest seasons, and how God's presence can still be at work when we can't see what He's doing.

This is only the beginning of Ruth's story.

  • The Women Who Were Jealous

What do you do when someone else has the very thing you've been begging God for?

Hannah knew what it felt like to want something deeply and watch someone else have it. While Peninnah had children, Hannah remained without them—and Peninnah used Hannah's pain to provoke her year after year.

But Hannah's story isn't ultimately about what she didn't have. It's about what she did with her pain.

    She took it to God.

In this episode, we're looking at Hannah and Peninnah and talking about comparison, jealousy, provocation, unanswered prayer, and the temptation to measure our lives against someone else's. What happens when someone else's blessing feels like a reminder of what God hasn't given you yet? And how do we keep our hearts from becoming bitter while we're waiting?

Hannah didn't pretend she wasn't hurting. She poured it all out before God.

And eventually, the woman who entered God's house broken and overwhelmed left with a different kind of peace—not because she had received her answer yet, but because she had placed her pain in God's hands.

Sometimes faith isn't pretending you don't want something.

Sometimes faith is being honest enough to tell God exactly how much you want it—and trusting Him with the answer.

  • The Women Who Was Possesed

Before Mary Magdalene became one of Jesus' most devoted followers, Scripture tells us that Jesus delivered her from seven demons. But that's not where her story ends, in fact, it's where her new life begins.

Mary went from being someone in need of rescue to becoming a devoted follower of Jesus, a witness to His crucifixion and burial, and the first person to encounter the risen Christ and announce the resurrection to the disciples.

She was seen. She was known. She was changed. And then she was called to go and tell.

In this episode, we're looking at Mary Magdalene's story and what it means to step into a calling after you've been changed by Jesus. Your past may be part of your story, but it doesn't have to become your identity. The person you were before Jesus doesn't have to determine the person you become because of Him.

Mary didn't just experience freedom, she followed Jesus with it.

And perhaps one of the most beautiful parts of her story is that the woman who had once been in such desperate need of Jesus became the woman Jesus trusted to carry the greatest news the world had ever heard.

  • The Women Who Loved Jesus Differently

Through every story, we see two sisters who loved Jesus deeply—but expressed that love in very different ways.

In this episode, we're walking through all of Mary and Martha's major moments with Jesus and looking at what their lives teach us about serving, sitting at His feet, trusting Him when He doesn't come when we expect, bringing our disappointment to Him, and worshiping Him without holding anything back.

Because Mary and Martha weren't just two women who responded differently to Jesus.

They were two women who knew Him, loved Him, trusted Him, and kept showing up.

  • The Woman Who Didn't Know

Mary was told she would give birth to the Son of God—but she wasn't given the whole story.

She didn't know how everything would unfold. She didn't know what people would think of her. She didn't know what motherhood would cost her. She didn't know the heartbreak she would eventually experience. She simply knew that God had asked her to say yes.

In this episode, we're talking about the weight of the unknown, the power of obedience, and what it looks like to trust God when you don't have all the answers.

We'll also take a look at why Mary is so deeply revered in Catholic Christianity, what Catholics actually believe about her, and how that compares with the way many Protestant Christians understand Mary.

Because Mary wasn't chosen because she had every answer. She was chosen, and she responded with faith.

Sometimes obedience means saying yes to God before you know how the story ends.

  • The Women Who Were Bold

What does it mean to know your worth—not because of what you’ve accomplished, how you’re perceived, or the labels you carry, but because of whose you are? In this message, Tori walks through the story of the daughters of Zelophehad and what their courage teaches us about identity, inheritance, and boldly living as daughters of God. A reminder that before we are anything else, we held one title "daughter".

  • The Women Behind the Men

You can be responsible for your influence without being responsible for someone else's sin.

Bathsheba and Delilah. Two women whose names are often mentioned in the same breath. Two women who are often remembered as the women who caused powerful men to fall.

But what if we've been telling their stories wrong?

Bathsheba's story is one of power, vulnerability, and the consequences of a king's choices. She didn't orchestrate David's actions, yet her name has often carried the blame for his sin.

Delilah's story is very different. She knowingly pursued Samson's weakness, betrayed his trust, and accepted payment for it.

These two women couldn't be more different—and that's exactly why we're putting their stories side by side.

In this episode, we're talking about what it means to be a godly woman without taking responsibility for the sinful choices of men. We're talking about modesty without shame, influence without manipulation, boundaries, accountability, and the danger of reducing a woman's entire story to the way a man responded to her.

Because being a godly girl doesn't mean you're responsible for controlling every man's thoughts, choices, or actions.

You are responsible for your own heart. Men are responsible for theirs, and sometimes the most important lesson in a woman's story is learning the difference.

  • The Women Who Are Waiting

Sarah had a promise from God—but she had been waiting a long time.

So she took matters into her own hands.

Hagar never asked to become part of Abraham and Sarah's complicated story. She was a servant caught in the middle of someone else's attempt to make God's promise happen. And when everything fell apart, Hagar found herself alone in the wilderness.

Two women. One promise. A whole lot of waiting, comparison, jealousy, and pain.

In this episode, we're looking at the story of Sarah and Hagar and asking what happens when we get tired of waiting on God. What happens when someone else's blessing makes us question our own story? And what do we do when we feel like God has forgotten us?

Because in the middle of Hagar's wilderness, she discovers something that changes everything: God sees her.

Maybe waiting doesn't mean God has forgotten you. Maybe someone else's story isn't taking anything away from yours. And maybe the God who made the promise is still working—even when you can't see it yet.

  • The Woman At The Well

She came to the well trying to avoid people. She left the well telling everyone about Jesus.

The woman at the well was carrying more than a water jar. She was carrying shame, a complicated past, and the weight of being known by the people around her. But when she encountered Jesus, He didn't ask her to hide her story. He met her right in the middle of it.

Jesus knew everything about her—and still chose to speak to her.

What started as an ordinary trip to the well became an encounter that changed everything. The woman who once had reasons to hide became the woman who couldn't stop talking about the Man who knew her completely.

In this episode, we're talking about shame, being fully known, living water, and what happens when we realize our past doesn't disqualify us from sharing Jesus. Because sometimes the very story we're most afraid to tell becomes the story God uses to point someone else toward Him.
