Godly sorrow produces repentance and a transformed life, but worldly sorrow leads only to despair and spiritual death. We live in a spiritual world, and sorrow—when it is Godly—pulls our hearts back toward the Father. Gratitude rises when we recognize that our Creator has placed His Spirit within us. We cannot return to God by our own strength; only He can draw us back to Himself. Seek God, pursue His will above everything else, and let His purpose shape your life.
