Our salvation is a work of God from start to finish. He graciously chooses those He saves and works to bring about their salvation by giving them a new heart that loves and submits to Him.

Closing Question:

In both answers, we talked about the mercy of God toward sinners. How would you define mercy? What is it and how do we show it to others in the same way God showed it to us?
