Part 2: “21 days of Spiritual Rehab.”

This year's word: The year of "Challenge"

Definition of challenge: something that by its nature or character serves as a call to battle, contest, to give a special effort.

What is fasting? Fasting is abstaining from food or certain foods for a certain amount of time to get closure to God. Abstaining from certain entertainments distract us from getting closure to God. 

  • Three types of fast:
    • 1. Water or juice fast.
    2. Daniel fast.
    3. Sun up to sundown.


    • Three reasons why we need a 21-day spiritual rehab.
      • 1. We are living in the last days.
         1 Timothy 4:1-2 NIV
      2. Our hearts need a rehab.
         Proverbs 4:23-24 NLT
         Matthew 15:17-19 NLT
         Ezekiel 36:26 NLT
         Romans12:2 NLT
      3. He wants to transform the way we think.
    • Three steps to helping us complete our 21 days of spiritual rehab:
      • 1. Be specific with what your asking God for. I want to encourage you to write it down. Fasting can bring clarity.
         Acts 12:2 NLT
      2. Make a commitment before you fast what you are going to do and stick to it.
         Proverbs 16:3 NLT
      3. Make a special spiritual commitment to spend time with God in prayer. I want to encourage everyone to come to our Wednesday night prayer night at 7:00.
    • Specific prayers:
      • 1. Government: local, state, country. Our leaders
      2. Schools: University to day-care. Next Generation
      3. Church: local, country, world missionaries. God would bring revival.
