Maya Angelou, a great American poet and civil rights activist, once wrote, “Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.” God’s love for us is far beyond what we could even imagine. His love is not dependent on what we do, how many good deeds we accomplish, or how clean our record is. Like the love in Maya Angelou’s poem, God’s love has no barriers.
Do you believe this? Do you trust that God loves you in spite of your sin? In spite of your imperfections? Trust me, He does!
If you intellectually believe in Jesus as the Son of God, but have yet to receive Jesus into your heart by faith, and if you have yet to feel the effects of God’s healing love, why don’t you do so now? Pray with me this prayer: “Oh God, I believe that you are the Savior. You sent your Son, Jesus, to die for my sins. I want to walk with You through life and experience Your love, oh Lord. So I receive you into my heart, Lord Jesus. Please come in. Forgive me, wash me, make me Your child. Amen.” This is Luis Palau.
