Today on Teaching Thursdays Peter says that we’ve spent enough time living our previous way of life- the way of this world. To do battle with the world is to be transformed by the Spirit of God and to seek God’s glory in everything. This is the essence of Romans 12:1-2 and it is the essence of Jesus’ earthly ministry: Live for the glory of God, through suffering, and contend with the world, so that the world might be saved and transformed. Additionally, along the way of suffering, we find that God loves and cares for His people- through the gifts and graces given to His people!
