Jesus' motivation was never self-promotion, preservation or manipulation. He didn't help and heal in order to better "use" people later. He doesn't do that now.

John 3:16 & 17 tell us God's motivation for sending Jesus, and all Jesus did when He walked the earth. They also tell us what His motivation wasn't.
