Let's get straight to it.  Paul tells us that there was a great mystery that God had not yet revealed to his people, a mystery that could only be revealed in Jesus Christ.  Many mysterious things may come to mind when we think about God, his power, knowledge, eternal being, and so on.  However, the mystery that was revealed through Christ was so profound that Paul dedicated his life to sharing the revelation of it.   What could be so important that it would drive a man to sacrifice his own desires to follow such a mystery?
