"Mi casa es su casa!"  My house is your house.  Make yourself at home!  Imagine hearing these words from the rich and famous about their multi-million dollar mansion.   As unusual as it might be to have a celebrity open every room of their home to you and give you the key to every door, that's how hard it was for the readers of Hebrews to accept that God was now completely accessible to them as a friend.  They had lived their entire religious life to believe God was "off limits" and that they needed someone more holy than they were to stand between them and God. This chapter explains how the work of Jesus on our behalf now means heaven's door says "Come on in, the door is open!"
