God's way and God's truth has always been attacked by spiritual forces in rebellion against God, played out in the realities we experience. Conflicts in the church have a long history. Paul, Silas and Timothy experienced violent persecution and contended with false teaching that sought to turn the gospel of freedom in Jesus Christ into the more familiar bondage, coercion and exclusivity of a religion.

In this episode we start back in the OT with a word from the prophet Haggai, join Jesus in the temple courts under attack from unbelieving Sadducees and hear Paul’s word to Timothy encouraging him to hold fast to what is good and true. In all tree scenes we see how God’s Word and God’s Spirit work together to bring revelation of the truth and warning against deceptive forces.
