An audio podcast prepared from a 1982 broadcast on audio cassette, a former Orthodox Rabbi discusses the Shelem "peace" offering as outlined in Leviticus in the Torah section of the Hebrew Tanach. The Hebrew Tanach contains the Writings, the Prophets, and the Torah, the latter being the five books of Moses. What was/is the purpose of this peace offering, the last offering on Yom Kippur? Note that the peace offering had to be without blemish:
Leviticus 3:7 If he offer a lamb for his offering, then shall he offer it before the LORD.
Leviticus 3:8 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron's sons shall sprinkle the blood thereof round about upon the altar."
