Luke 12:16-21 “16 And he spoke a parable to them, saying, The land of a certain rich man brought forth abundantly.17 And he reasoned within himself saying, What shall I do? for I have not [a place] where I shall lay up my fruits.18 And he said, This will I do: I will take away my granaries and build greater, and there I will lay up all my produce and my good things;

19 and I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much good things laid by for many years; repose thyself, eat, drink, be merry.20 But God said to him, Fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee; and whose shall be what thou hast prepared?21 Thus is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Luke 7:27-30 “Behold, *I* send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee;28 for I say unto you, Among them that are born of women a greater [prophet] is no one than John [the baptist]; but he who is a little one in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

29 (And all the people who heard [it], and the tax-gatherers, justified God, having been baptised with the baptism of John;30 but the Pharisees and the lawyers rendered null as to themselves the counsel of God, not having been baptised by him.”
