Friends, welcome back to God’s Playbook! Today, on Labour Day, we take a moment to pause and reflect on the gift of work—not just as a way to earn a living, but as a way to provide for our families, build up our communities, and share in God’s creation. Whether you’re a student preparing for your future, someone fully immersed in your career, underemployed and seeking new opportunities, or currently without work, we remember that the dignity of work is tied to the dignity of the human person. Let’s be grateful for the skills and health God has given us, pray for those searching for employment, and strive to see our daily work not as a burden, but as a chance to make a difference.

John’s life teaches us humility, repentance, and courage, especially in standing up for truth even when it’s unpopular or costly. His fearless witness reminds us that speaking truth must always be done with love, rooted in Christ. May his example inspire us to live boldly and faithfully. St. John the Baptist... pray for us.
