God-s power and authority--Part 1----What do you believe about Gods power- Do you think that there are limits to the power of God- How much power do you think God yields over your life- How much Power do you think God yields over this earth, or the weather- When you fully understand the power of God you will find it much easier to rely on Him. You will be better prepared to trust Him to get you through the sticky situations you always get yourself into. One of the things that hinders our ability to trust in Gods power and authority is due to our unwillingness to give Him control. Our human nature and fleshly desires yield over us a wanton desire to be in control ourselves. Do you see this in yourself- We so often live and act as though the only way of survival is found in our ability. How many will admit to yourselves that you have been doing this, maybe even this past week- Understanding how Gods power is all we truly need is really hard to see when we never give Him a chance to prove His power to us. In order to recognize Gods power and authority you must acknowledge God, you must look for His action in the world around you. You must be willing to admit that you are powerless. Can you understand what I am saying here- I don-t believe very many of us fully rely on God as we should on a day to day basis. I know it-s not easy to do so. Let-s look at it this way. You have been mistreated by someone you thought was your friend. How will trusting in Gods power and authority help in this situation-
