The Bible is more than a book full of ancient wisdom; it is the actual Book of God’s Promises. These promises are based on 2 Timothy 3:16, when God tells us that all Scriptures in the Bible are inspired by God. With this promise of God in hand, we can be assured that what we read in the Bible actually comes from Him. 2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.” 

As you hear this, consider: do you look to the Bible for correction and training in righteousness? Or do you look elsewhere, to “self-help” books or so-called “experts”? In our culture, trusting completely in the Bible isn’t widely accepted. But when God promises us that we can trust Him and His Word, we ought to believe Him.

I encourage you to read the Bible. Study it. Write down promises you find in the Bible, and believe them. When God tells you to trust Him, He means it. The Bible is the Word of God – and our most important resource for following Him. and when you are sharing the good news Gospel with someone, quote scripture verses.  Then you can be confident that God’s Word will release its power as you reach your world.This is Andrew Palau.
