If you’re like me, someone has probably let you down at some point. Maybe someone promised they’d be there and they weren’t. Maybe someone promised they’d always love you, and then something happened in your relationship. Perhaps, someone broke their promise to you.

Broken promises have a way of making us feel as though we can’t trust anyone. But I have good news for you! God has never broken a promise. God’s Word remains faithful. Even when the world appears to crumble, we can always trust in God and His amazing promises.  The Bible says in Joshua 23:14, “Not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God has promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.”

This week, ask yourself, “Where am I putting my faith?” What, or who, am I trusting? If it is God, you are in good hands—because He will not fail you. But if it is something or someone else, be careful. People will often fall short. Build your house on the rock, the firm foundation of Jesus Christ. Your steady faith will be a vivid picture to all those around you that your life is built on Jesus Christ.         This is Luis Palau.
