God's mercy is His to give and it speaks for everything about God and speaks everything against us.--Titus 3-5 - God's pursuit of us is based on His goodness, not any of our merits.--Romans 5-8 - Our Savior poured Himself out for us on the cross so that we can have His mercy. This is how far He's willing to pursue us. God wants to pursue us so that we'll pursue Him. He wants to have a relationship with us. This is the very definition of His redemption. From all appearances, God should never have gotten into a relationship with us. All the red flags we throw up, He turns into white flags of surrender.
