Hello guys, this episode will be split into four parts. We begin by observing how immersive and all-consuming the work of a Christian servant like Paul was, so that with all the affairs of the church there was no distinct hint that gainful employment was sustainable for such full time ministers like he. We see how this translated itself to the statement which the apostles uttered about their 'widows' not being neglected since there was no time to solely deal with income generation for widows in need and the full affairs of the church altogether.  We touch upon alternative income streams such as the selling of possessions to provide for full-time servants and finally we define and appraise what the apostle Paul meant by 'soldiers,' not going to war at their own expense or being entangled with affairs of this life. In summary we see that for Paul to be requesting material resources from churches meant that he himself was not always making tents. Is our tent-making strength, mindfulness and time pledged more to God and his calling for us as a collective or for our own personal care?
