Today we begin discussing the "Monsterverse", as its been called, by discussing the first movie in the series, Godzilla. It was originally released in 2014 as a reboot by Legendary Pictures. The movie was directed by Gareth Edwards and stared Aaron Taylor-Johnson, as well as Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, and Elizabeth Olsen.
