It works and it is what you would expect from a movie like this. Big action sequences, great battles, effects were amazing, loved the score, enjoyed the battles, solid direction, and a decent script. Favorite part had to be the Hollow Earth segments - that was great. I am not versed enough in Kong or Godzilla to truly appreciate what they were showing me inside Hollow Earth, but I liked it. I wouldn't mind to watch a whole movie set in that world. And the humans had a few nice moments in this one as well. Enjoyed the girl and Kong relationship - helped to give Kong a bit of a personality. I recommend this movie. It was never dull and it kept me entertained until the very end.
