Altruism is one of those concepts that is in a way, not completely understood. Especially when it comes to being an altruistic leader. Altruism was defined by a French philosopher as the opposite of egoism. If we look at it from that standpoint, it becomes "we succeed together," as opposed to "what is in it for me." Law #11 of the 50 laws on intellegent leadership states that,"If you want others to be happy, be coureous, compassionate and altruistic; if you wnat to be happy, be courteous, compassionate and altruistic.
