You don’t have to be a partnered streamer to have an amazing community. If you treat your audience with respect. If you create great content, and provide a fun environment for engagement, you’ll have positive results. Slay3K is a pretty great example of that in action. We’ll talk about what might be different with his goals than someone who is already established, streaming through COVID and the future when life goes “back to normal”.

When I decided to start a podcast about streamers, Sketch was one of the first people I thought of interviewing. I had been watching him on Twitch quite a bit. I was interested in learning more about the Minecraft streamers specifically, and his name always came up. I think we have a lot in common. We both have young kids, we both have families. This was a great conversation.

When I started to get seriously involved in streaming I wanted to make connections, in particular in the Minecraft streaming world. For those of you listening who don’t know me, I host a few other podcasts, one of them being the official Minecraft: Education Edition podcast. I am a Minecraft player, and I travel all over helping teachers use Minecraft in their classroom. One of the first people I really made a connection with was Lewdi. I find him genuine and endearing. He’s an easy dude to like. Maybe that’s why he’s a Twitch Partner and a very widely watched and followed Minecraft streamer.

Hosted by Mike Washburn. Going Live isn't a podcast about streaming. It is a podcast about streamers. The people behind the mic. Streamers are why people tune in. They have lives, families, backgrounds, and stories to tell. Going Live will tell those stories. Welcome in.
