Hello Gardeners, I’m Amanda McNulty with Clemson Extension and Making It Grow. When I was growing up every single yard in our neighborhood had Aucuba japonica, aka Gold Dust plant, growing in a shady spot in the garden. This handsome, coarse textured medium sized shrub, was introduced to England in 1783 by a prominent botanist, John Gaeffer.
