Matthew 2:1-11.

We may have wondered why the particular gifts brought by the wise men were given to Jesus. Upon further study we discover that they have everything to do with who Jesus is and what He came to accomplish. Gold = the King is born. Frankincense = God is with us. Myrrh = a foreshadow of His coming death that would make the way for us to have eternal life.
