The Golden Girls were a staple of our youth but what was the secret to the show’s success? Why did we tune in to watch four old ladies? We came for the laughs and stayed for the friendship; kind of like this podcast. This week we discuss the show and the private lives of the actors.
For dinner, we went with a southern theme. Cindy prepared recipes from the Golden Girls Cookbook. We had the Southern Not So Fried Chicken with honey Bourbon carrots and buttermilk mashed potatoes. For dessert, we had Mr. Ha Ha’s cheesecake. We washed it all down with Amaretto Sours.
