Two friends eating and drinking their way through Goldfinch–Book 6 of the Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy!

Warm Spiced Apple Crumble for 2
Ingredients:
- 2 apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Pinch nutmeg
- ¼ cup oats
- ¼ cup flour
- 2 tbsp cold butter (cubed)
- 2 tbsp sugar
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F
Toss apples with butter, brown sugar, and spices, place in small baking dish.
Mix oats, flour, sugar, and butter with your fingers until crumbly, sprinkle over apples.
Bake at 350°F for 25–30 min until golden and bubbling.
Drizzle with honey or serve with vanilla ice cream
Wine/Cocktail Pairing: Pet Name
This wine is a red blend, and it has this lush, kind of dark-berry thing going on — like cherries and blackberries but with a little earthy kick underneath. It’s sweet at first sip, then that depth sneaks in and suddenly you’re like, oh no, feelings. Which, let’s be honest, is the exact same experience as reading this book.
