Two friends eating and drinking their way through Goldfinch–Book 6 of the Plated Prisoner series by Raven Kennedy!
SPOILERS FOR THE SERIES
Recipes for food and cocktails mentioned in this episode:
Dirt Pie (no bake!)
Ingredients:
- 3.9 ounces instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 8 ounces cool whip
- 1 oreo pie crust
- 8 Oreos
- 12 Gummy worms
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk the pudding mix and milk until it starts to thicken. Fold in the cool whip to the pudding.
- Add the pudding mixture into the crust and smooth the top, so it's flat.
- Place the Oreos into your food processor and pulse until they are a fine crumb. Sprinkle the Oreo crumbs over the top of the pie.
- Top the pie with some of the gummy worms.
- Place the pie in the fridge for 1 hour to set.
Wine/Cocktail Pairing: Fugitive, The
This wine’s got a bold, brooding energy — rich red with just enough edge to taste like danger and devotion all in one sip. It’s the kind of bottle that makes you feel like you’re committing a crime just opening it, which, coincidentally, isalso how Slade moves through most of his life.
