Moses left Egypt, a world of riches, fame, and power to serve God and to
suffer for Christ sake. He went into the wilderness for 40 years as a
humble and meek shepherd. God then used Moses in a mighty way to help
deliver His people Israel. I believe it was Moses’s mother, who knew Moses
was a “goodly child”, who put a knowledge of God and His ways into Moses’s
heart, that enabled him to walk away from the world, for God’s sake. In
contrast, there was a rich young ruler who approached Jesus and called him
a good master and asked for a list of things...
