Romans 13:1-4

Main Point: Since human government is God’s institution, believers should make every effort to submit to their rulers.

I. Human government is God’s institution.

“When God wants to judge a nation, He gives them wicked rulers.”

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”

II. Believers should make every effort to submit to their rulers.

Application

1) Pray for your government leaders.

2) Pray and work for good government. 

3) Obey the law as much as possible.

4) Never hope in government.

5) Do not violate God’s Word in order to please wicked rulers.
