ABOUT THE MUSIC:
Telling the tale of an A.I from a love simulator game that becomes self aware, this single is the launch of a meta-driven storyline.
The love sim "HARUSHION" was created by an unknown shell company developer. Our A.I Haru has little knowledge of her past and is on the hunt for who she is, traveling our planet to find the missing pieces of herself.
Virtual Singer Edo Lena takes the stage for this single. A diva from the Edo period in Japan that has somehow slipped in time to present day, Edo Lena is training as a new-coming V-Singerâs âmake the world happyâ with Edo Lenaâs song power, âEdorinâ.
Edo Lena is a natural fit to tell Haruâs story with her ethereal vocals and virtual persona. Japan based artist is a Tokyo-thriving pop singer and YouTube dominating personality. She is a great pleasure and treat to work with and exactly the type of person I wanted Haru to personify in reality with this song.
Writing lyrics was a challenge, but also, a fun exercise working with an international artist with such a complex language as Japanese.
When the original version was finished (Japanese Lyrics/Vocals) COVID-19 just hit the world. We felt it wasnât appropriate to release our vision during such a world wide crisis happening.
So with the extra time on our hands during quarantine we decided to put the excess time to good use and write and record an English version of the single, giving the song additional depth.
We also released a limited edition soda with Jones Soda! Featuring the album art and the singleâs synopsis of Haruâs journey.
Ultimately this is the last installment of an Augmented Reality Game that serves as my pitch deck for a musical anime to all the streaming platforms!
