On Good Friday we strip ourselves down to our barest humanity, as Jesus’ suffering and death draw us to ourselves that show us who we truly are, no illusions, no masks, and asks that we show that person to the world, rather than fight to preserve the illusion and keep the mask tightly on our faces.
