Where does adventure sit with your soul? Does risk and unknown stir your soul towards self-reliance or Christ? Life is often full of risk and adventure, but God understands the soul also needs rest. The trick is to find a balance in which life embodies both risk and rest while doing it with people you love and within a community you trust.

Adventure looks different for everyone, but the underlying truth is that within a relationship with God, you will be called into adventure.

Adventure is often the place we must rely on God, it's full of unknowns, risks, and challenges. The goal is rarely to just get by, it is often an invitation to experience God deeper.

Risk must almost always be accompanied by rest and vice versa. God often knows the limits of our souls and sets seasons of risk and rest in place. To those who are experiencing a season of risk can hold onto hope, believing that God has a season of rest for you. To those who are in a season of rest, be ready for God to call you into a season of risk.

The church is biblical built as a unifying community, compelled to love one another as we go through difficult seasons of life. However, rarely is that unity experienced.

Our souls desire a deep spiritual community, and whether that's a small group, house church, or mega-church... it is found within those who follow Jesus. 

If you have been hurt by the church, taking time away is necessary, but God will most certainly call you back to his bride.

If you are in the church, recognize that God can and will call you outside of those walls into the world, where you will experience him in a new and powerful way.
