I grew up going to church.  As I look back at that time I am very grateful for two things that I learned.  I learned to memorize Bible verses, and I learned many of the old hymns.  
If we learn those things early on, they will stick with us throughout our lives.  Today we look at a man whose life was saved by Bible verses and old hymns.
