Good News was a variety show that presented an hour of entertainment. This show features the usual cast: Jimmy Stewart, Baby Snooks, Frank Morgan. This edition features songs from the recently released musical hit film, Rosalie. The show starts with Jimmy Stewart, who wants to open with an accordian solo. He introduces that great barritone, Nelson Eddie to sing a medley of the Army and Navy fight songs: When the Kaisons Go Marching Along, and Anchors Aweigh. Fannie Brice, as Baby Snooks, wants Louie Mayer to read her a story. He summarizes the story of Rosalie. She gives him a hard time over who Santa Claus is. Laura Mathau is introduced to sing, In the Still of the Night. Next, Louie bringsout a singer, dancer, comedian who chats with Jimmy Stewart and Frank Morgan. about people they know, tlepathy, and eerie coincidences. Louie next brings out Eleanor Powell to sing, Rhythm in My Heart. In the second half of the show: Baby Snooks gives Louie Mayer a hard time about wanting to be in the movies, then Nelson Eddie is back to sing, Who Knows. Jimmy is still bent on wanting to play his accordian, and talks with Frank Morgan about it. Hanley Stafford joins the conversation to talk about investments. The stock market ticker ticks away. Hanley keeps Frank updated with his losses as the points plummet. Of course, once he sells, the ticker rises again. It's a back and forth roller coaster ride of investment adventure. Nelson Eddie is back to sing, Rosalie. Eleanor joins him for the chorus. As he sings, she accompanies with a tap dance.
