a sermon from Fr. Nathan
Jesus prays in John 17 that his people would be one as he and the Father are one. In a fragmented Christian world, this unity is not something we manufacture through programs or personalities, but something God himself accomplishes and manifests in us by the Holy Spirit. The Father and Son share one will, glorify one another in love, and together bring forth life for the world. By the Spirit, we are drawn into that same divine life. Christian unity begins when we refuse contempt, honor Christ at work outside our tribe, and trust that God is reconciling his people together in Christ.
