What is the difference between this parable and a similar one that Jesus tells in Luke15?
Why does Jesus tell this parable?
To show us what He is like:
1 - You're not just a number to God
2 - God's not going to let you go, He will pursue you.
3 - God rejoices over you
To show us how we are to treat one another
(2) The Practice:
In verses 15-17, Jesus is telling us that:
1 - Believers will sin against us, hurt us.
2 - We are to go to those who sin against us
3 - We are to go to them in private
4 - We are to do this so that we will gain our brother.
5 - We are to go to them when we see sin in their life.
